Traveling during Covid definitely has its challenges. We needed to get away. We needed to travel. So we picked a cheap place to go, Maui. Flights, cheap! Hotels, not so cheap. Rental Car, If available, not cheap at all.
Somehow, we ended up getting all three. I’m not sure how, but it worked out. We stayed at Wailea Ekolu Village, booked through Hyatt. It seemed more like an AirBnb and felt like a condo. It worked for us and it was very much enjoyed.

We used some Hyatt Points for our beautiful condo. We were welcomed with a bottle of Champagne and mutliple bottles (cans) of water, along with an Orchid.

Our beach view from the balcony. Good morning, Maui.

We made the mandatory stop at Kepaniwai Park. A quick hike up the mountain to enjoy the lucious beauty. While hiking up, there were mutliple fliers littering the path asking for help of a young man who went missing. His vehicle was located here at the park, but he was nowhere to be found. That was sad and also a bit scary. We kept an eye out for him but unfortunately did not find him. I hope he is found.
We arrived later in the day, so our time at the park was limited. But not before capturing such beauty.

We went for a drive along the western coast. stopping a few times for photos.

And found a beach which we spent limited time at.

This was a quick trip. We both worked all the days we were there. But we were able to get out in the evening and do some exploring. I do have to say that we loved traveling during Covid. There were not a lot of people around.
