I arrived at NAN airport and entered the Priority Lane for checking in.  I was unable to get my boarding pass on my phone.  I was next in line.  I watched about 10 groups in the Economy lane get assistance before I was helped.  This was a bit frustrating.  Whats the point of the priority lane?

Upon recieving my boarding pass, I entered the security area, which again was changing the crew or something because we were waiting and waiting and waiting.

After clearing security and immigration I went on a search for the Fiji Airways lounge.  Again, I found it in the basement.

Nadi Airport is a HUB airport.  It provides two lounges, Fiji Airways Premire Lounge and Air New Zealand Lounge.

The lounge was spacious, yet dark and a bit crowded.  I arrived right at the Breakfast/Lunch turn over.  There was plenty of food.

On Board, I did go for the economy seat.  The quick 2 hour flight included a little box snack, along with a drink beveredge.

Landing in Samoa was uneventful until passing tyhrough Immigration.  Being the first to get to Immigration (due to walking fast) I was blessed with the Immigration computers being down.  It seemed as though they didn’t know what to do, asking their coworkers wether their computers were down also.  After about a 20 minute wait I was finally processed, exited Immigration and then out the airport door I went.

My Hotel shuttle was awaiting right near the exit.  Entering the minivan, the driver informed me that we are waiting for one more person.   Unknowingly this would be about 1/2 an hour.

The second gues arrived and something inside of me clicked.  I became super talkative.  We engaged in conversation for the hour long ride to our hotel.  Long storey short….. She was sitting the row behind me directly behind my seat.  She is Filipina, and lives in American Samoa.  She is traveling from the PHilippines back to American Samoa.  We talked the entire trip and agreed to meet up for dinner later.  This random connection will come into play again once I arrive in America Samoa.   She offered to pick me up at the airport and give me a tour of the island.  More on that later.  p
