Our plan was to arrive in Frankfurt an hour before my partners parents arrived. We would then meet them outside of immigrations. However, our flight started off delayed, and then we arrived even later than anticipated. Let alone we miss calculated the time zones. They arrived quite some time before we did.
Once we landed (from Turkey), we realized they were already waiting for us (at another terminal). Transitioning to their terminal was easy but at the same time consuming and complicated. We arrived terminal 1, and they arrived in Terminal 2. However, due to construction, transitioning was not easy. We boarded a bus and what seemed like hours later we arrived and met them without issue.
It was late at night, and we arrived at our hotel, The Linder, without issue. The Linder Hotel is located at the Main Plaza on the River Main. It has a wonderful view of the city. This hotel is part of the World of Hyatt collections. We were a party of 4 traveling in Europe. Finding a hotel that would accommodate 4 people with plenty of room is not without it challenges. The Linder Hotel was able to accommodate us with 2 room suites. We had been in communication with them via email to make sure that the room we booked was able to accommodate all four of us and with elderly parents.

Our stop in Frankfurt was simply a transitional stop. We would only be here for one night and would be leaving the next day later at night.
The night we arrived, we walked along the waterfront and came across a little movie night at the park. It had a movie playing that you can listen to with headphones, along with a food ruck like style of venues for beverages and food. We watched, drank, and experienced an evening of culture. Upon arriving at the hotel, we experienced the bar and ordered some drinks to keep us warm and prepare us for bed. Jet Lag was still in order.
The following morning, we walked around downtown. Our first order of business was coffee, and the second order of business was an EU SIM CARD. TMOBILE (Telekom) was our provider. After that, we walked around to get the Germany experience.

Our journey brought us upon Römerburg. A nice German plaza with eateries and Bavarian style buildings.

And who can not stop at Lindt Chocolates?

We had a moment of culture and stopped off at the Goethe House. There was a museum portion which cost money but we were too cheap to spend money on. But photos were a necessity.

It was time for us to head back to the hotel for checkout and catch our train to Munich. We walked across the Iron Footbridge, which crossed the Main River. Just like in many cities, the bridge was littered with many locks of love!

Our day in Frankfurt was quick. It was simply a transition point as we were headed south towards Italy. A couple more stops were required until we arrived at our first city, Venice. Germany was cold and overcast. We were able to miss most of the rain.
