Back in August/September I had the opportunity to sign up for a AAdvantage Challenge with America Airlines. I held my breath and signed up. The confirmation finally came.
The Receipt of this challenge began my cross USA trips starting with my first trip to Puerto Rico earning around 10,000 miles. I then took a trip going from Seattle to Boston to Los Angeles back to Boston ending in Seattle. Obviously the trip had a top over on all but one leg. I earned 11,000 miles on this flight. My third trip will be a quick overnight to Puerto Rico again. Following are a bit more of the details.
First Trip;
SEA-BOS-MIA-SJU-MIA-BOS-DFW-SEA. 10,323 Miles. Around $600. I left on a Friday night arriving at SJU around Saturday evening around 7:00. I stayed the night in SJU and flew out Sunday morning at 8:00 arriving in Seattle around 11:00PM
Second trip;
SEA-ORD-BOS-ORD-LAX-ORD-BOS-JFK-DFW-SEA 11,360 Miles. Around $550. That trip was completed from a Friday night to Sunday evening. Both nights were spent on an airplane. I arrived in LAX around 6PM on Saturday and departed again around 11:00pm. This game me 5 hours to visit In-N-Out Burger for dinner.
Third Trip:
SEA-ORD-JFK-SJU-JFK-BOS-DFW-SEA 9377 Miles. Cost $491.00 This trip starts on Saturday AM at 6:00. I fly to SJU and arrive around 11:00 PM. I stay one night and fly out again at 8:00 AM and arrive in Seattle at 10:30 PM. This will give me my 30k miles for Executive Platinum.
How do i find the fares that I have quoted above? Well i’m not going to get into the details of the first part. Simply, I used ITA Software (thanking my friend Anwar for introducing it to me) to find the days, routes and cost. Once I find the routing I then to go American Airlines web site and enter the routing to book the ticket.
Anyhow, Here is part two of what I’m going for;
