FRANS Bangkok

Each day while I laid my head down in my Airbnb, I could smell good food.  While searching on maps for food in the area, the restaurant next to my Airbnb continued to pop up.  So obviously I had to try it out. 

The Restauruant “FRANS” was a beautiful setting and popular.

I arrived without a reservation, and they were able to accomodate me as being a person of 1.  I recommend a resevation though as it soon after became very busy and people were having to wait. 

After seated, I was allowed access to WIF and the menu was online via a QR code.  They did offer to bring me a menu also, but I declined as I could see it on my phone. 

 

The decor reminded me of a bakery or a little cafe. 

I ordered an Americano and a Carrot Juice.  I needed the caffiene and also wanted to feel healthy. 

The food choices were plentiful.  It was brunch time on a saturday.  I noticed the tables around me, who were all occupied with two persons each, were ordering mutliple items.  The table directly next to me, which appeared to be a couple, ordered about 7 dishes.  I felt a bit in a competition, but there is no way I could eat more than 1.  I wanted breakfast but the pasta looked amazing.  I ordered the Beef Ragu and thick sliced bacon, which was basially a thick cut piece of pork belly. 

The options were amazing.  I couldn’t hep but stare at some of the dishes my neighbroring tables ordered. 

The Americano came first and was consumed quickly.  No photo of the Carrot juice as I drank it quite quickly before I could photograph it. 

I love meat and vegtables outside of the USA.  They tend to have a flavor above all else.  The beef was delicious.  The noodles prepared just right.  The flavor was impressive. 

The pork belly also was delicious.  I could not finish it all.  I was not expecting it to be pork belly.  I thought it was just a thick piece of bacon.  My stomach just couln’t fit all of the food. 

I recommend FRANS.  The food was delicious and the service was great.  If you get a chance, definitely try it out.
