While visiting Thailand, my friend Kevin suggested that I go to Factory Coffee. I had never heard of it and shrugged it off. There are plenty of coffee shops in Bangkok, why travel out of my way to this specific place. But he insisted. So I went.
I had minor issus finding the store, as it was located down an alley that seemed more like a private drive for a hotel. But after asking the hotel where it was, I was soon there.
After the fact, I saw a sign on the main road with the Factory Coffee logo. I felt stupid.

I arrived at 8:30 AM, to a line. I was a bit shocked. Now, I began taking my friends suggestion serious. Maybe there was something to this coffee. So I went and waited in line.

While standing in line for 5 minutes, I turned to see this sign. UGH 40 minutes for coffee?

While waiting in line outside, I tried to take photos to see what the big deal was. All I saw was coffee.

Once I arrived inside, I began looking around at the items for sale. Reading the awards on the wall and picking out coffee to buy.
Before tasting the coffee, I had two bags of coffee beans in my hand.

Cold Coffee to go was refrigerated and ready for taking.

The process was to order your coffee, take a number and find your seat.

I decided to order two drinks, so that I can get a good expirience of multiple items rather than stand back in line to order again. I ordered El Brown, and Feel Affogato.
El Brown, was a fancy Iced Mocha served in a mason jar on a fancy nice board. The coffee had good flavor, not acidic but smooth. I enjoyed the coffee very much. I would consider it one of my favorite coffees.

The Affogato had a choice of Coconut or Chestnut Ice Cream. Although I like Coconut, i’m not a big fan of Coconut mixed in other foods. So Chestnut it was. When it arrived, it was served in a nice double plastic cup on a fancy board. I drank/ate the Affogato after my cake and after drinking the El Brown. So, once I got to the Affogato, the coffee was basically frozen to the ice cream. But, the Ice cream was soft and easy to eat with a spoon. Again, it was good. I enjoyed it very much.

Not photographed was an assortment of Crossants. But I ordered the Carrot Cake. The cake was decent, not my favorite but good. It was dense but still moist. The flavors mixed well and was smooth, without any strong flavors drowning out other flavors.

I enjoyed my expirience, and wish a coffee house such as this was near my home. However, I’m not sure why this place is so popular with a line early in the morning. It was decent coffee.
