During Covid, I needed to get out. So where does one go when they need to get out? Thailand of course.

The long awaited trip started off with three days and two nights at the beautiful, luxurious Siam Hotel.
I wasn’t sure what I was getting into, when I agreed to go to The Siam Hotel. http://www.thesiamhotel.com.

We arrived late at night, and check-in was smooth and easy. We were offered a small beverage and ushered to our room. The doors were opened, and I immediately entered with a smile. The smell of fresh foliage and old wood, along with the fragrance of the flowers overwhelmed me. It was amazing.

The room was one big room divided into two. The entry was a roomy living room with a couch, tv, minibar, fridge, and coffee maker. The bedroom had vaulted ceilings with unique arwork on the walls. Behind the bed was a mini wall and on the other side was a desk for working. Then, through another door was a large bathroom with both a shower and a tub.

The following morning, we walked around the hotel and ended up sitting outside next to the river for breakfast. The detail from the foliage to the view to the archichecture was beautiful. Everything seems to be preplaned and just smoothly transitioned into each other.

The pool overlooked the river yet was hidden for privacy at the same time. Quiet, calm, luxurious, and tranquil is what came to mind while just sitting in the water.

From the main hotel to the restaurant and pool, takes you out back through the areas of the villas and along a beautiful arboretum with many vines, trees, bushes, and flowers. The tranquility of the flowing water and the feel of the ground and the smells brings you to a different location in your head. It feels as though you are far from Bangkok.

Within the main building is its own openair greenhouse, with lusch foliage bring back the senses of tropical and remote.

From the point of stepping onto the property to the point we left, it felt like paradise. Our own little hide away in the middle of the big city. The staff was helpful and attentive. The beauty was overwhelming and the tranquility was a great start in helping remove jet lag. I recommend this hotel if you ever get a chance.
