Covid strikes again. Need to get out. Where should I go? To the heart of Covid. My flight origionated at LAX. Check in for my Japan Airlines flight started at Tom Bradly International Terminal. The lines were light. Since I had all of my QR Codes ready, Covid Vacinne Card out, passport, required insurance certificates, SHA+ hotel confirmation printed, checkin was quick, and a breeze. The lack of people traveling was eery and kind of nice at the same time. Time to go through TSA and into the lounge.

My destinate was the Qantas First Class Lounge at LAX. Oneworld offers all partners the opportunity to experience this luxury. The lounge was quiet with very little people. Social distancing was easy.

The only item I ate was the “Avocado Toast” with Bacon. Bacon goes well with everything.

It was soon time to board. As I usually do, I left the loune early to walk around and get some exercise. My impending trip will be close to 16 hours. being sedintary for that long requires some pre-trip movement. So I usually leave the lounges early and walk the airport for about 30 minutes or so.
Once I got my semi-cardio routine completed, it was time to head to the gate. I was the first First Class Passenger to board. Possibly the only First Class Passeger. It was a very light flight. but nice at the same time.

The JAL Suite is spacious and more like a condo in the sky. The wodgrain interior is beautiful and sleek. There is ample storage in the suite and above in the luggage bins.

Typical Amenity kit in a nice case. I love taking these cases and either donating the contents or giving them out as presents. I did not take photos of the eco-friendly pajamas. Someone with sensitive skin, the pajamas did not itch and felt friendly to my skin.

The menu had many options. I am not a fish person and usually Asian based airlines are heavy into fish. Luckily, I had options other than fish. But wouldn’t you know it…. I ordered the fish. Sauted Chilean Sea Bass. I know. I must have been drunk or something. The honest story, is I have health issues and should be eating better. So this was my “start” to eating more healthy. This did not last long, but at least I tried and I have it documented.

Japan Airlines has their own wine. It was great. Just ask for the Japan Airlines House Wine.

We were (I mean I was given) a facial kit. There was nobody else in First Class. I asked for more kit’s and unfortunately I was only allowed one. This was a gift for my partner. Don’t tell him. He thinks I bought it.

Japan Airlines doesn’t let you down. It’s amazing as you would expect. I have flown JAL numerous times, and it’s consistent, impressive and you are treated with utmost respect.
