SFO – SIN A350-9

This post will be more about the food on the flight rather than the overall expirience of the lounge in SFO, flight from SFO-SIN.
My 3 hour lay over started in the United Polaris Lounge, a Star alliance Partner.
While I enjoyed my stay, I was not that impressed with the overall lounge. To me it felt like an afterthought. Long and skinny with an ok view of the tarmac. The food decenMore t but not wow.

I like to be early to most everything. If i’m on time, Im late. I left the lounge and walked down to my gate which started boarding 5 minutes after arriving.
Getting comfortable in my seat was easy and quick.

I was greeted by the Purser and offered Champagne, Juice or water. Juice it was. Again, I don’t remember what kind of juice but it was good.
Shortly after take off, I was offered a hot towel and then a bag of nuts. I don’t know about you but I love nuts!!!

About an hour after takeoff the meal servie started with Seared Scallops with Red Cabbage and Edamame Salad, Pea Puree and Pickled Red Onions. Yummy Yummy to my Tummy….

For the main course,Coq Au Vin with Chive Mash, Grilled Baby Leek and Asparagus was served. I have to say the meat was amazing. it would fall apart, and a knife was not needed.

Dessert selection was Ice Cream, apple cake cheeses, or fruit selection. I’m not sure why but I went for the Haagen Daz Macadamia Nut Ice Cream with Chocolate stick!

The ice cream was rock hard and needed 15 minutes to soften up. Which I gladly gave it the time it needed.
After this heavy dinner I forced myself to get some sleep which is not that difficult to do with Singapore Airlines.

The second dinner started about 3 hours before landing. This dinner included the following dishes, which I neglected to get the names of.

After a nice 6 hour nap and two dinners and quite a few movies we were landing in Singapore.
