Hong Kong May 26th

Again my sleep is off.  I’m falling asleep between 5-7PM local time which is around 2-4 AM my home town time.  then waking up around 10 until about 11:30 and then falling asleep again until around 3:30 AM local time.  Then i’m wide awake and nothing is open until 9:00 UHG.

 

Today started off with a stop at a Japanese restaurant for Breakfast.  I had noodles and beef!

 

Then I walked around town and road the Metro around town.  Where did I go?  I have no clue.  I just rode and rode and rode.  Then ended up at a mall.

 

 

What I did notice at the mall is that EVERYONE Brings their suit cases to the mall…. This is just weird to me..

 

 

Then I went to the street markets.  It was hot and humid and I just wanted to not be here.  So i didn’t really shop.  I just walked around in and out of air conditioning.

 

Then i tried some Gyoza or pot stickers.  it was way better than the frozen ones I get or the ones you eat here in the USA. 

 

And I tried a little “Stinky Tofu”.  Yeah i did not care for it..

 

But the bubble Juice was good.  well not really bubble juice, it was juice with stuff in it.

 

Ok somewhere in between now and time to leave for the airport I think I took a nap.  I don’t remember.  But I left for the airport at 5:45 AM.  I was up at like 3:00 AM just because I was awake.

 

I checked in and went to the “Wing”.  the first class lounge for breakfast.

 

The restaraunt inside of “The Wing” was called “The Haven”.  It had a pretty nice spread…

 

So again I wanted to show you my walk… I was located at the bottom right corner where it says “Gate 3”.  I had to walk all the way to the top left corner where it said “Gate 62”.  It was a long ass walk..

Business class on AA really did suck.  Not only did I get a ratchet ass seat as shown below, but it was OLD.

 

It had DC power ports still.  REALLY?  It’s 2014 these things are at least 15 years outdated.

 

So I did what I do best… I complained.

 

This was the cute little bag of goodies i got for my trip home.

so I complained and then my seat mate joined in.  we were told “We only have one adapter and it’s reserved for first class.”  “Well mam, you’ll have to do better than that.  I expected to be flying on an aircraft that has sufficient accessories so that I can do the work i need to do.  You are by far not satisfying my needs.”  A few minutes later, we were allowed to utilize the adapter to charge both my phone and my seat mates Ipad.

 

We were allowed to use the BOSE Head Sets IN business class.  However i’ve never experienced this before… We had to turn them in 30 minutes before landing and were issued “ear buds.”  This was so horrible.  I want my CX flight back. 

We received a dinky, super thin hot towel to freshen up.  Again this was a smack in the face regarding business class service.  No wonder AA is going bankrupt.

 

Although I could not complain about the meal.  It beat CX by far.
