I was introduced to the web site Airbnb.Com last year from my friend Juvenal Israel. It is an advertisement site that allows Hosts to advertise the availability of a room in their house (or more) and allowed others in need of housing to book. The site provides an insurance policy for the hosts along with some security features that protect the hosts.

I was a bit skeptic of this whole idea. However as I signed up and began the “Authentication process” I became more and more secure in this whole Idea. They asked for an upload of my identification, required me to create a profile with all general information and there was also questions allowing me to connect some social media sites to my account. All of this is required to to authenticate me as the guest.

As I searched for a host that would be close to my location desired I contacted a couple options through the sites communication portal. The response was quick and in detail. All communication stays within the AirBNB web site for security purposes.

They also have an app that you can download for your device.

My first use of this site I booked a room in the beautiful area of Roma in Mexico City. The host was very open and returned an answer to my questions within a reasonable time. As the date of my arrival approached she coordinated with me when I will arrive and when I will depart.

The cost of my accommodations was within my budget. I paid $30 for my room and was asked to “make myself comfortable in her home.” Side note; I paid for my accommodations up front via the web sites secure connection and there is a 5 day cancelation policy. AirBNB charged an $11 Service fee. my total cost for my 3 nights was $101.
