My arrival at MEX was as expected. An hour wait in a very disorganized line just to clear immigrations and then another 30 minutes to clear customs in the same type or disorganized fashion.
However being the socialite I am, I made conversation with the couple behind me. And as always I made up some story as to why I’m here. This time I was on. Business! Kind of glad they didn’t ask what mi d of business because I didn’t really have an answer. They were from Indiana and were headed to puerto Vallarta.
After leaving the airport I found my friend and I went to his house to shower and change.
We then rushed out to cafe Toscana Italiano for a dinner meeting with other friends. Cafe Toscana is located in Roma. Roma is known for its art work. Here is a statue that we passed.

We then took off on our two hour drive to Querétaro. Worthington a crazy Driver (no it Washington not me!) behind the wheel with his iPhone in one hand and the steering wheel in the other we flew to our destination weaving in and out of traffic at 160 kilometers an hour!
We checked into our hotel and then after headed out on the town.
We drove to the historical center of Queretaro. On the way we passed an ancient water delivery system which is now lit up with beautiful colored lights!
Down town Queretaro reminds me of San Juan Puerto Rico.
Here in Mexico they do not have Halloween. They have three days where they honor the dead. It’s called dia de Los muertos.. Everyone creates a shrine honoring the dead with photos candy figurines and items. Not only do they create shrines in their homes but many businesses and public areas also create large shrines.
We had dinner and then walked around. Note it’s about 12:30 in the morning. Look how active it is..
On our walk back to the car we came across this church. Look how the moon and clouds are sitting near it. It’s so beautiful!
