I currently travel with a Swissgear Back pack;
It works for me but I don’t recommend it. I prefer a backpack to any other means of baggage because it free’s my hands, holds a quantity of products that I use during my trip yet keeps them compartmentalized and organized for “on aircraft” and “at location”. It free’s my hands for my carry on luggage and other necessary items, yet it’s “over head bin” friendly along with “fit’s under the seat in front of you” friendly. What I don’t like about it is the weight. It’s heavy empty and on Hot travels it tends to carry heat. It also has a section where i can safely keep my “lap top” or “iPad”.
I also travel with a change of clothes for over night flights so I can feel fresh upon landing at my destination.
I am considering purchasing a different back pack and have limited it down to this one.

I’m still looking for suggestions before making a final decision. My specifications are:
1. Light weight
2. Compartmentalizes
3. Capable of holding my medications / change of clothes for over night flights + Electronics
4. Keeps my electronics safe and secure.
5. Durable! I can’t tell you how many backpacks I’ve had that rip, tear or break easily.
I usually travel with only a carryon if my travel is between 3-5 days-ish. On longer trips I will check a larger bag. Depending on my travels I will “check” my carryon. My trips to Mexico & Puerto Rico I only took a “Carry on” but checked it. It’s just so much easier to navigate the airports and boarding processes without lugging around extra baggage. Plus i have everything I need in my backpack if I end up staying the night in an airport.
Suggestion; Make your travel as convenient and relaxed as possible. There is no reason to put more stress on yourself, especially while your traveling with a bunch of other high strung control freaks that are expecting travel to go smoothly every time!
If your going to bring up the cost issue of traveling, your reading the wrong blog.
