SATURDAY;
I’d say we awoke early but after falling asleep at midnight with sleeping pills and arising at 10:30 am…..we did not awake early! Out the door after a long prep time we walked aimlessly until we found a cafe that seemed popular…

The cozy little home style cafe appeared to be run by Veterans. But this may just be an appearance and not reality. Their outfits consisted of Veteran vests and hats. The average age of each waiter, server, bus boy and prep cook could have served in the Vietnam war. Sitting at the bar across from the coffee maker, increases my anxiety thinking it was going to blow up. It was gas powered and rattled and hummed like a coal powered train.

A quick trip around old town resulted in shopping and views of beautiful Architecture. we stopped at one of the forts, paid the $3.00 fee and amazed ourself with ancient architecture and views. It’s hot! And muggy!

A change of hotels from Sheraton old town to Sheraton convention center where we were upgraded to another suite. because our room was not yet available they offered to buy drinks and food for us. We maximized this benefit and each drank two drinks plus appetizer. These were the best Mojitos I’ve had in a very long time. Our appetizer was fried plantains with nacho stuff on top. Yum it was good.

We arrived at our suite and explored the view, unpacked and made plans for the evening. We ventured up to the club lounge to continue our discussion. The view was amazing. A couple glasses of wine and we were ready to go out for dinner and the evening!
