It’s two weeks out untill I leave for my trip to SJU (Puerto Rico, San Juan). Why am I going there just for a quick 3 days (2 full days plus 1 half day)? Simply put AIR MILES! I’m an air mile Junkie! I obtained a RT 6 segment ticket for only $309 dollars. That equates to $0.025 per miles. In my initial routing my trip put me SEA-MSP-ATL-SJU-ATL-SLC-SEA. This was just 7677 Miles, but still a great price. My itinerary changed however due to “Scheduling changes”. So I kindly worked my magic called my airline and now have a SEA-SLC-JFK-SJU-ATL-SLC-SEA flight with 8101 Miles. A 500 mile increase. I also get to SJU 7 hours earlier than expected.
My excitement has wavered back and forth. Mostly because of the weather news. Yes I KNOW September is not the best time of year to be down in that area. However the cost to make this trip was outstanding and one of the best values I have seen in quite a while. I came across this photo on the news today;
The latest news for the SJU area is as follows;
Yikes! Maybe instead of rest I’ll just have pure excitement for 4 days. As long as I get my miles right?
Wishing for best of weather on my trip. I’m now second guessing myself whether it was smart to buy a second trip to SJU for September. Yes I did say a second trip the last weekend of September. More on that trip in a different future blog.
